'El Sol Va' Winter Magic Festival

As the sun receded……the Palais Royale's grande ballroom was buzzing with no standing room in sight, the air electric.

We gave a workshop right there and then…what a fantastic performance ensued with such dedication and focus and artistry in Alegrias, Tangos and Solea! The children looked divine dancing Guajiras con abanicos with great confidence! They did their own surprise solos in fiesta Bulerias at the end too. We thank our wonderful guest artists Rafael Alcolea who sang with grace and Robbie Varga, Australia's maestro of guitar.

Of course, huge thanks for our Winter Magic Community Arts Grant, to Winter Magic committee, the Palais Royale Hotel for all their support we were looked after so well and of course to our MC, Bryan Cutts.

Professional photographer Scott Gilbank drove especially from Orange to shoot our rehearsals, performances and took beautiful portraits of each Blue Mountains Flamenco member. Wow wow wow!
